Cupcake will make my G1 and car stereo work in perfect harmony

Filed under: Technology — coretron @ 4:45 am

I have a car stereo which supports bluetooth, so far I can only make calls using it. My Samsung A920 I used to let me press a button and make calls using voice dialing, although the voice dialing only worked about 90% of the time. Don’t know when the g1 will be able ot do that but I don’t really miss it. What I really want to be able to do is use the bluetooth to play the audio from my phone on the stereo. Cupcake will bring this and much more. In addition to the bluetooth profile which adds audio support called A2DP we are also getting AVRCP which is a remote control profile. In other words my car stereo can control the phones next/previous track, rewind, fast forward, repeat, and random. I’ll be able to get in my car and play music with my phone in my pocket. When a call comes in the music pauses the radio tells me who it is and any button will answer the call. After the call the music fades back in. Two devices working in perfect harmony.
