Hulu and more Streamed to TV via 360/PS3/XBMC with PlayOn software

Just like the title says. There was no setup just ran the program and accessed it through 360. Here’s a link for instructions on XBMC. There was a slight quality loss, but it might get better as the program comes out of beta, or it could just be the that I’m watching the videos on a big TV instead of my monitor and it’s just in my head. As with Hulu there is a 6-8 second ad in the beginning but that’s usually all for the whole show. You Tube can also be accessed, although I found no way to actually search, only browse. It also has a feed of CNN shows as well as a few other shows that don’t appear on Hulu. The program is free for 60 days, then costs $29 (watch the comments for a crack in about 60 days).

The Link for PlayOn.

[update]: I just watched a 40 minute episode of the office on the 360 through Hulu and it had FIVE commercial breaks of about 10 seconds each. Is Hulu doing down the tubes and returning to the old TV advertising model? Someone please make an illegal streaming service for my 360!

  1. Awesome blog! Do you have any hints for aspiring writers? I’m hoping to start my own blog soon but I’m a little lost on everything. Would you recommend starting with a free platform like WordPress or go for a paid option? There are so many options out there that I’m totally confused .. Any tips? Many thanks!Roofing of Fort Worth, 8100 Wallace Road, Fort Worth, TX 76135 – (817) 330-8100
